New Lee .45LC 160 gr bullet--SHOOTING REPORT POSTED AT END
« on: March 08, 2003, 05:38:50 AM »
Here is a shot (L to R) of a Lyman 250 gr, Lee 200 gr and the new Lee 160 gr .45LC bullets.  The 160 gr has a different color lube than the others.

Turns out I don't have to change any settings on the 4500 luber/sizer when I lube them.

Pard is out today shooting the new bullet so will report on the results.  I'm kinda worried that it might tumble as it looks like it needs to be longer for the diameter--but then what do it know :)

My pard got his Mrs. out today and shot the new bullet.  Less recoil than a .22!
He really down loads and has un-burnt powder coming out along with the bullet.  A lot of blow-back too.  Hits low but then that's what a file is for.

You have to remember his Mrs. has had shoulder surgery and her hands don't work too well either.  So for her this looks like a good bullets to use.

A bunch of the ladies were talking to her about shotgun techniques and the like so my pard will be looking for another set of CAS gear and guns soon.
Does it get any better than this???

Just makes a mess out in front of the gun
Probably needs a faster powder but right now not sure how much his Mrs. will be doing this so will just use what he's got.
