20 Gauge Rem. Buckhammer?
« on: December 10, 2005, 07:02:55 AM »
:D  Has anyone hit any deer with these yet? I shot a few at the range a while ago and they did ok. I recently ran across a good deal so I bought a boat load of them.
I was wondering how they worked on deer.
I'm also concerned about lead fouling.
How often should I clean or scrub the lead out of the bore before my accuracy falls off the table?

You should PM DaveH. he posts on this forum and i think ha has used the buckhammers with great success. What part of Maryland are you in ? I hunt in Kent and Talbot county a little and grew up in Oxford.
PROUD REDNECK CONSERVATIVE

I'd much rather be remembered for being a great shot than having the most expensive gun

Thanks Markus, I live in Baltimore county. I hunt in Worchester, Cecil, Kent, Washington, Allegany and Garret counties. Just about anywhere in Maryland. Mostly at the hunting club I'm in (Worchester) and a lot in Green Ridge State Forest (Allegany).
I'll be using my 20 gauge Mossberg in Gunpowder state park Balto. county (shotgun only) in mid January thats why I'm asking about the slugs.
