When I stumbled across it I thought "Man, wait till my fellow Handi-Holics see this!!"  I love the fact that it also provides a little company history along with highlights of the manufacturing processes.  Thanks for making it a Sticky Mac.  :agree:

Great Find Brett...

As much as I have liked my H&Rs before, this just sets me that much more toward them....
I didn't realize that(at least with the wood stocked models) they are a " lock, stock  and barrel" company...

    Atta way H&R !!!

I'm glad to know NEF's and H&R's are all American and handmade.  Keeping our brothers and sisters in a job is critical to me.

Very cool!! The one interesting thing is that if you listen very close, the demand for their products outways the production. This is why I think that we see muffed screws and case hardning these days. They must be working as very fast as they can. Good for them financially, but can be bad for Quality Control in some instances. I know my BC and others I handled before accepting the one I have now have had issues with the screws for the metal plate on the buttstock and the lack of case hardening on the receiver. Mine has about 60-70% case hardening, but the screws and stock are nice and right. Also, I received my new BC with a dirty barrel, and I meen dirty. This tells me they are over worked or the QC neads a boost? My older Pardners are perfect from the 90`s. I do appreciate the video, I just wanted to point out the part out about the heavy demand and QC parrallel I think. Regards-Jack.

The  new condensed version leaves out a lot of detail the old version had. But I guess they don't want people to see how they do things.  I guess they noticed what I said about their barrel making, this is gone now.

With a 2 thou per inch run out in deep hole drilling, it is hard to end up with a straight shooting barrel.

Interesting.   One thing I learned is that my .223 must have been made during the previous incarnation.  It has a ND serial nunber making it a 1990 manufactured.  The current company was founded in 1991.  It seems pretty much identical to my later rifles so I think the new parts should fit OK which is really all I care about.

I would really be interested in seeing the part where he talks about the differences between rifle vs shotgun receivers.
Try to look unimportant.   Your enemy might be low on ammo.
