M3 Wildcats based on the 50AE from 25 to 47cal. The best 30M3 exceeds the 30-30 factory load. The 44 M3 duplicates the factory 444 Marlin.

The 35 M3 generates 90% of the 348 Win.

These shorties are usable in the short Marlin leaver actions. There seams to be little application in the Handi line except the 44 Mag and the 357 Magnum.

It is however an interesting concept. The designer is M.L. McPherson.

jbadams66 .

The article appeared in the Dec. issue #53 of the Precision Shooting Magazine. Dealing exclusively with extreme rifle accuracy.

About you 35 caliber Whelen guys they tested the 220 gr Speer Hot core bullets and said that the terminal performance of thes are impressive approaching what the best premium bullets deliver.

I used these Hot core bullets in my 257 Roberts with flabbergasting results and mine are only 100 grain, one almost completely penetrated the neck of a bull moose without coming apart. Best part of these bullets they are super accurate and cheap.
