Did not get a deer but had a great trip to Alabama. Next time I will shoot does in the mornings behind dad's house and hold out for a buck in the other stand in the evenings. Saw a bunch of does and yearlings and spikes. Bunch of turkeys, raccoon, bob cat and all kinds of birds. Was 18 deg one morning and 24 deg. the next Brrr... Always just fun sitting and watching. One thing I did learn while watching a doe at about 90 yds (got the heart pumping) looked through my 2x scope and tried to decide to shoot or not, very exciting. I put my ear plugs in and settled the cross hairs on her. With the plugs in I could hear my heart thumping and see the cross hairs moving with it. Whew.... Anyway, no deer this trip but I'll be back!
