Haven't got to test drive it yet, but looking forward to carrying it while hunting. It is noticeably lighter than both of my hunting partner's .270's.
I have decided to trim the stock ASAP and install a Pachmayr pad. As pointed out by Bigfoot, the screw holes for the pad are very long and I think I can safely take off a little. I am not worried too much about a .270 recoil for me, but I see the wife and kids using daddy's gun someday.
The camo job should be effective, but I am not sure I that am proud enough to post a photo. :lol: It will work, but I wish I had left more tan color and less background black. The good thing is that it can be redone very, very easily!
