Load Data Needed
« on: December 14, 2005, 04:22:06 AM »
Can anyone tell me where I can find load data for a 300 grain cast bullet in 44 mag? I have the book " complete load data for the 44 mag" but the heaviest cast bullet they show is a 270. I would like a load that would run around 1250 to 1300 out of a 12" Encore barrel. Thanks in advance.

The 300 gr cast gc bullets I shoot out of my 14" contender have been heat treated to a BHN of 30-35, With these I use 22.5 grains of 296.
No crimp, with the bullet seated out to the lands. Also it's a LBT LFN.

I would start lower, around 19 and work up from there.
