« on: December 14, 2005, 04:56:17 PM »
well this is the second time i shot the 45-70 handi took it out the first time but didnt have a range finder so i didnt make any adjustments i noticed it was shooting high and left anywho i took it out today and i corrected the left part but i turned the sight all the way down and at 100 yards it is still 5" high give or take with remington 450 corelokts although its dead on at 200 yards i would like to adjust it down. i have decided to either build a new insert for the front sight(or if they make an after market i might go that route) or just change it out does anybody have any suggestions and would annybody happen to know what the diameter of the barrel is ? thanks in advance any advice would be helpfull

One answer might be to go to the 300 grain bullet.Lighter bullets shoot lower than the bigger bullets.
The more I listen,the more I hear....and vice versa.

45/70..it's almost a religion.
