Rear sight removal
« on: March 09, 2003, 05:02:26 AM »
I bought a used Contender with 2 barrels, and was going to mount a scope on the 30-30 barrel. Went to take the open sights off, but I'm not sure how to access the screws on the rear sight. Do I need to push out the hinge pin, or what's the secret?

Thanks in advance.
Dave

Rifleman,

You take out the sight adjustment screw and the pin holding the sight together and the screws.  Then you'll see the screws.

Yeah, I had the sight adjustment screw out, but wasn't sure about the pin. Thanks a bunch!
