Cripes sake you northern types sure give in easy, lol. I'm just getting started in ernest. I have some pups for the first time in three years. They are coming at a regular interval but not in as high of numbers as I would like...but then do they ever? The cats are starting to move a bit. I got a nice Tom the other day. All others have been shes which I released. More Shes than Toms is a good omen in my book. I did HAVE a large Tom, with a longer tail than one would like, running my traps...seemed he liked fox. Now when a cat does this on a regular basis, 4 out of seven checks revealed fresh sign, it becomes a very funerable target. This particular Tom was unluckier than most; he must have over slept Saturday morning, for I drove up on him while he was traveling to my next set. I filled my tag with the first shot at any life form from my new 204 Ruger. I do not recomend a 204 for dangerous game but you use what is handy in moments of opportunity. Sorry no PICs batteries were froze I guess. It was quite a show for about 5 seconds.
