Gettin' a 917VSF ?

I have a Savage 93R17GV
I'm gettin' myself a Marlin 917VSF with the T-900 trigger.
Anything I should know, Trigger Mods, Stock Mods.
Anything to make it shoot its best.
Any down side's to the Marlin

The only downside is the cost of ammo, and you already know that!! If you have issues with the mag feeding, just adjust the mag guide by pushing the bottom of the mag forward or back to get it to feed good. You can tighten the mag on the guide by squeezing the track on the back of the mag with a vise grip or vise to close it up slightly, mine don't rattle and aren't loose after doing this to em. Check to make sure the base mounting holes are plumb with the bore, there have been problems with either the mount holes or the bases being out of alignment. Weaver #16 bases will fit, they're a little taller than the Marlin bases. Here's a previous thread that has trigger info..

You got questions, feel free to ask him or me...He straightened things out for me when I got mine, gave me tips and ideas and mine shoots MOA at 100 yards.

Are you sure it is #16 Weavers for the Marlin ?
Those are the factory Savage 93 mounts :?
