New to trapping
« on: December 20, 2005, 05:16:18 AM »
I'm 16 and new to trapping and i absolutely love it. I caught my first animal yesterday, a coon on a pocket set baited with sardines. I really would love to catch foxes though. Can anybody recommend any good books on general fox trapping? What about snares? I have some good places along fence rows where foxes travel that i feel are good spots for snares. Are snares bad for the begginning trapper? Are they basically for the more experienced trapper? Like i said i'm new to trapping and know very little about but would really love to do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Kyle.

Kyle,
Check state regs.I don't believe that you are SUPPOSED to use 'em here, although I'm fascinated with learning snaring myself.
