Since I still can't get a Reply to post, thought I'd try a new subject. What happened to the thread that was asking opinions on buying a 308 verse 30-06? It was an interesting question and I was watching it. Was there a reason it disappeared or was deleted? Just curious.

well i am the one that posted the question,
and last night i bought me a 308 nef at a local gun store
with a scope  NEW for $250 could not pass it up

Yesterday when I finally got on I noticed one of the threads had a last post date of Dec. ??, 1969 (I don't remember the exact day of the month). That may have been the .308 vs. .30-06 thread? Thought it was maybe something to do with the problems yesterday, or maybe another 'hacker'??

I wouldn't be surprised if it shows back up, I've had entire threads disappear when removing  double or triple post, then after the forum refreshes, the thread is back, minus the extra posts. Yesterday I removed a couple extra post topics on the .243 - .30-30 thread and got this message... :?

Guys we're having some major software issues with the site right now. Matt is hoping to have time over the weekend to fix it. He's wrapping up a major contract this week and just cannot take the time now. Hopefully by the first of next week all will be well again on the site.

But he will have to completely shut it down to fix it. So expect that one day this weekend.
