I listed 2 15 round magazines for my ruger P85 on ebay and the auction was pulled because it violated their policy on hi capacity Mags. I thought Hi cap mags were legal again and it was a standard mag not extended. That being said does any one know where I can list them online with out the auction being pulled by some Nazi SOB

Try Gun broker or Auction Arms , Also most forums have a For sale section.

Right above the SUBMIT AUCTION button there is a bright red waring sign stating that hi cap mags amongst a few other things are forbidden. Sow how is it e-bays fault that you did not follow their rules?

Define "Hi Capacity" The P series Ruger Ships from the Factory with a 15 round Mag, it does not extend below the frame. The ebay policy prohibits the sale of magazines that are "illegal" the magazine in question is not illegal. If ebay wishes to limit magazines to 10 rounds then they should say 10 rounds.

Some staes still consider anything over 10 to be "high capacity" and not legal. Depending on which model, Ruger ships thier autos with 10 round mags for sale in restricted ststaes and others with higher capacity mags for other non-restrictive areas. During the ban, these would've been considered hi-caps by just about everyone in the firearms market including us here on the forums, proberly even by you. Even with the ban over, they're still commonly referred to as hi-caps. Notice how folks on forums still ask about "hi-caps" and guns for sale or mags for sale on-line and in shops still are marketed as being a hi-cap magazine or the gun coming with high cap mags? The ban pretty much got the term "high capacity" magazine to mean any magazine having a capcity over 10 rounds. It's pretty universal now. So...not heeding the pretty obvious warning on eBay puts it all on you again.

In reality the 15 round mag is a standard mag and became a Hi - capacity due to the stupid ban. But eBay has for the last couple of years frowned on anything gun related. I would not go there for anything. No guns no money. JMHO

It's not high capacity unless it holds more than the gun was originally designed for. If it fits in the mag well without extending below the frame, it is a standard capacity whether it holds 10 or 17. We've just been brainwashed into thinking anything over 10 is "high capacity". A 10 round in a single stack 1911 should be considered high capacity even though it meets the definition of 10 round legal. Just my opinion.

LOW CAPACITY....10 rnds or less

STANDARD CAPACITY..... mag that hold 10-20 rnds provided they do not extend below the mag well.

HIGH CAPACITY.... mags that extend beyond the mag well.

So a 5-shot factory mag for an AR-15 is classified as "High Capacity"? And there is no such thing as a "Standard Capacity" mag for the M1911? Your new rules need some work.....

I say if eBay has rules, then they should be respected. Don't like 'em? Go elsewhere. Actually that's a great idea, go elsewhere to shop. That means more eBay T/C barrels for me! :-D
