I got a 308 barrel for my handi. Anyone having luck with any specific bullet weight. Looking at a 25-06 or 280 barrel for the near future. Any suggestions?

Both the 25-06's and the 280's are good choices...I use my 25-06's for conversions...not that they aren't any good...but to get what I really want( a 26" 338-06...and a 26" 270)...My choice for 1 additional barrel...would depend on it's usage...varmints up to 600lbs ...go with the 25-06...deer up...go with the 280...if your wanting to rebore to something else in standard calibers...go with the 25-06...rebore to some of the improved calibers...go with the 280...

i don't quite get the question but if you mean what bullet weight in the 308 we've had the best luck with. for me its been the 165's but i had good luck with the 185 grain bergers too. but i still use the 165 for hunting
