Call it crazy or what. But I'm sending my UVF reciver in after the first of the year for a set of Monte Carlo stocks and a new .223 fluted barrel.
I already have a Ultra .223 and a AR-15 varmiter. But I want another barrel in .223.
The 22-250 fluted barrel just did not produce the accuracy I was looking for. Also the Choate stock felt good off hand but I really did not like it off the bench.
So I'll send the reciver off soon.
Just can't stand to see that reciver sitting in the safe with no barrel on it or stocks. And with a 3.1 lb. trigger pull, it's just to smooth to be idle.
Reloading for the .223 has become a lot of fun here latley, after 20+ years of reloading that little cartridge has put the fun back into reloading.
