.30-30 range report
« on: December 26, 2005, 05:37:25 PM »
I took my .30-30 out for the first time today. It was more of a shake down than anything else, I wasn't expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised. At first I was having extraction problems until I realized The problem was the reloads I was using and not the gun it's self. I switched over to factory rounds and everything went smooth.
I'll be getting a Williams guide sight as the "v" on the gun is not too kind to older eyes.
All in all 1 1/2" groups were the norm at 50 yds. It's all I need.

          Thanks,
             Rusty <><

The .30-30s shoot great, don't they!!  I love the Williams WGRS, it's a great sight, I have one on my .45-70 and on all my muzzleloaders!! It's great for old eyes!!
