Happy Holidays. I have a question regarding factory ammo for my Virgin Valley 7mm-08 pistol (twist rate is 1-11; hence it prefers 100-140 grain bullets). I was curious what factory ammunition people use and what type of performance you get from 75 200 yards. I have heard the Hornady 7MM-08 139 GR SST LIGHT MAG and the 7MM-08 REM 139 GR Spire Point LIGHT MAG are very accurate ammo. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

You really don't need a magnum round for under 250 yards!

Try Win Supreme 140 BST. I shoot reloads but can not beat the .75" @ 100 yards groups form this ammo. It works grat on Deer. I get 2500 fps. form 15" barrel.

The Hornady Light Mags have been superbly accurate in all 7-08 rifles I've tried it in and sure does put the hurt on deer big time. It's all we use in 7-08 around here.
