The action is the same. The rest of the gun (barrel & stock) is where the
difference is.
The barrel is varmit weight as opposed to standard taper. It
is rumored by usually accurate sources that the barrel quality is superior
to the std. 700. I understand the same is true of the Police version. I
believe this is right as the Sendero's I have are very good shooters, a
couple in the sub 1/2" area with loads they like.
The stock is the HS Precision Glass stock with a Alum. bedding block. It
is far superior to a regular Rem. /Win. /Sav. Mattel type syn. stock that
is too flexible. They are good as is but if skim bedded they will work as
good as the best syn. stocks. In fact with this slight mod along with a
re-crown and other mods. you will usually have a gun thjat will rival the
better customs if you don't mind the weight which I don't for many applications.
