Buying an encore, couple of questions
« on: December 28, 2005, 06:18:34 AM »
I am going to buy an encore next week.  Looking to buy a stainless .50 with synthetic stock.  What should I look at on the gun so I don't get a bad one, if that is possible?  Thanks for your help.

Buying an encore, couple of questions

I recently bought an Encore in the traditonal wood/blued.  I absolutely love the rifle, and in pistol form, it shoots better than many of my bolt guns.  I'm not sure that much could go wrong in your configuration, and if on the odd chance something did, T/C service is top notch.  The only problem I did have was that the forend screws were prone to loosening.  I degreased them and there were no more problems. Something to keep in mind to look for.
