I looked at some velocities of when the 45-70 was in black powder. I also look at the 45-90 45-110 and 45-120.. I noticed the trap door leve of the smokeless version is more like a 45-100 leve in black poweder. Am I understanding this right? People have often said that the smokeless version is the same power as the original blackpowder version. For some reason this does not seem so. Also what is the top speed a 45-70 can push a 300 gr. out of a Rug. # 1. 2200-2300 fps?
? Id this is so this is more than the old 45-120 black powder could ever do. Anyone please help?
