Mr. Wiley meet Mr. Handi .243
« on: December 30, 2005, 09:12:34 AM »
This fella came in behind me this morning about 8am. I let him get to about 40 yards and I let the Handi .243 eat. Dropped him in his tracks. He never knew what hit him.

:D , Welcome aboard statelinerut!! That is one heck of a first post. I am beginning to think I enjoy coyote hunting as much as deer hunting. I can see you will fit right in here...Happy New Year!!!!....<><....

I am using the Fusion 95 grain. I love it. Groups the best out of my Handi better than any other so far.

statelinerut,

Nice yote.  Are you using the bull barrel 243 or the regular barrel?  How much damage did that Fusion 95gr do to the yote and where did you hit him at?  One last question.  what kind of groups are you getting with the fusion bullets?  I ask becuase I am having a hec of a time finding loads to shoot accurately through my friend's 243 standard barrel.
It's all a hot mess...........

Swift One, it made about a baseball size exit wound on this dog. When I shoot whether a deer or a yote I always place the crosshairs right behind the shoulder. About the Fusion 95 grain, I am geting 5 shot groups inside a nickle at 100 yards. That is as far as I can shoot where I live. Once the season is over I will bushhog me a 300 yard lane to get some more distance . The last 5 shot group I shot all 5 were touching, and it really looked like I only shot three times. Two rounds were laid exactly on top of the others. It s a great shooting bullet.
