I just purchased this jeep about two weeks ago and then I installed a 3" lift on it this past Wed. Turned out real well and is now an off-road beast. Here are the before and after pics.

Thanks RedHawk

Here is a pic of my 96 cherokee that I put a 2" lift on. My green 98 above has a 3" lift. I recently sold the 96 and wanted to build up a cherokee with the newer body style and interior. I love these Cherokee's they will go just about anywhere and are very reliabale autos - I rank them up there with the Toyotas and Hondas.

Thanks! I have the Ruty's lift with AAL. I will be ordering the full 3" leaf packs in about two months. I shereled out so much cash buying the jeep, wheels, lift and tires that I had to budget on the actual lift.
What lift did you go with? I wanna see some pics man :P

I went with the Rubicon Express RE6025 3.5" super ride w/ full packs. I got it at jeepinoutfitters.com, Free shipping and I also got the shock boots and T/C drop for free.
Did you have any trouble with your leaf spring bolts? I had to cut my old springs off, then buy new spring bolts which required me to cut open the unibody rails in order to put nuts on the new bolts, due to the captured nut inside the unibody rail breaking....

Thats a nice kit that you have. I wanted the RE super flex kit but didn't have the $$.  I didn't have to remove the rear main spring to install the AAL, I just dropped the axle, split the pack and slid the new one in, bery easy. The whole lift only took me 3 1/2 hours.  Now when I installed the shackles on the red Jeep up above, I had to heat the spring bolts up with a torch to keep from breaking that nut loose. I didn't want to have to cut into the floor and weld that nut back on. I am pleased with the lift though and the ride isn't bad at all. I have some mild vibes at around 35 so I ordered the Rusty's TC drop which is suppose to be hear either Friday or Saturday. I"m still running the stock shocks too so I will be ordering some new shocks here in about a week or so. Can't wait to see some pics of your XJ.

It's amazing what a little 3" lift can do for a Cherokee...Looks real good...I test drove a Cherokee back in 1997 when I was new car shopping but my head would hit the headliner...I guess those SUV's aren't made for 6'3" guys...I opted for the Wrangler instead.
