I recetnly got a new walker from Midway, it's a Uberti and and I got it to match anouther for cowboy shooting. The other came from Cabela's.
The problem is that the midway walker won't make it all the way through a cylinder full without binding up so bad that I have to manualy rotate the cylinder. The Cabela's gun will go at least a hundred rounds, posibly more with no more than a little drag. I'm using 55 grains Goex 3F, cast round ball and bore butter on top of the ball. Same load used in both guns. Head space looks to be about the same, only differance is I haven't changed out the nipples in the new gun to Tresso's yet. The nipples are not dragging on the frame so that's not it. It's like a hard fouling is getting on the cylinder pin where as the cabela's guns stays soft.
Any ideas?
thanks
