Has anyone ever seen a .303 semi made by Globe firearms with 10 shot clip. I have one and can't find any info anywhere. :(

What's it look like?  Have you fired it?  Globe manufacture - ? Is this a modified SMLE????  Where did you find it, etc.?????  Mikey.

The rifle was given to me last year. It's in excellent shape and yes I fired it this fall at a shooting site, works very well. I used my regular .303 British 180 gr. shells.   I am new to this site. Is there a away to post pictures on here?

That's an interesting looking beast!  Looks like a cross breed between a SKS and an Egyptian Hakim (the take-off on the Swedish Ljungman).  How does she shoot????  Mikey.

It actually shoots great. not that much kick to it. Only shot ten rounds though. The chrome action is slightly rust pitted but works fine. I would love to get more info on this rifle. Searched the net to no avail. I'm sure it's not the only one in existence.

Looks like a slightly modified Russian SVT-40
Any markings in front of the bolt on the breech?

Update: What you have there is a Globeco (Mohawk?) Sporter .303 which is a modified Finnish captured Russian SVT-38/40.
Seems to be a rare bird.

Ellwood Epps Sporting Goods in Orillia, Ontario tells me that it's a
Russian Tokarev rifle re-chambered to .303 British.
Sorry there are no markings on the breech, the clip has a number (2665) and the bottom has three small diamonds with a dot in the middle. Thanks for the interest. Do you think the chrome action can be rechromed? It's a little pitted.

Yes, you can have a chrome shop clean up and re-chrome the bolt.
But I would at least try some chrome polish first before doing anything else.

i to0 have one of these   its found its way to nz   mines in ok to good condition   comes with a 5 round mag    what im interest to know are these surpost to have a rubber ring on the pistion ?(blow back piston)   there are a couple of groves in there and i just wonder if ones needed   did the svt 38/40 rifles have one   any one know??

Skandic, interesting rifle. The bolt can be cleaned up. before you try any buffing wheels or other polishing machines try some flitz which is used to polish motor cycle wheels. Should do well to remove the minor rust that shows up in your pictures. Interesting rifle and first one I've ever seen. Thanks for shareing. Frank
