Where's all the 7,62x39 imported ammo?

Whats up with the imported cheap 7,62x39 ammo?  Any thoughts? :eek:

Yep!  Iraq and Afganistan is where all the 7.62x39 has gone.  Remember that we re-armed the Iraqi military with new AK-47s and I think we may have done the same for the Afgans.  You can still get Wolf ammo, but the S&B has dried up and gone somewhere - they used to make some very nice 123 gn soft points that were very accurate in my AKs and SKSs.  I am leery of the Wolf ammo from the posts here and I don't think the US commercial stuff is worth the $.  Mikey.

Mikey;   There's no Russian made Barnaul, Brown Bear, Silver Bear and Russian made Wolf and what there is left is very expensive.  Were talking cheap 7,62x39 ammo which has been $59 to $89 per 1,000rds for quite a while.   :eek:
