Way to go Moose and Gunslinger, I got a big button buck on New Year's Eve with my Encore M/L. I thought it was a doe, I don't like shooting button bucks. I had nine what I thought were all doe's in the woods across the field from my stand about 85 yards away and I glassed them while in the woods and did not see a button buck. When one stepped to the edge of the woods I took it. It ran 30 yards and dropped dead. When I got to it, I seen it's buttons. I was upset at first then I decided to get it mounted. I have 6 deer mounted in my house now and I am getting my 10 point from this year mounted. I have a doe mounted and I think the button buck will look good next to it. I will have a total of 8 deer mounts in my house.  :-D  :D  Wife is going to kill me.  :-D   :-D

I envy all you guys. We can take one doe with a M/Z the first three days of the season. Season starts the first Saturday of November. None during gun season or late bow. After the first week of Nov. does are taboo. And we are up to our eyes in them. Some TWRA estimates are 12 does/ 1 buck. Insane, ain't it? I think does are better eating anyway. Congrats guys!

I hunt in Delaware and Maryland and both are over run with doe's.  We can hunt doe's all season's, bow, M/L, shotgun and handgun. We also have doe only seasons. From September to the end of January.  :D

Yeah Redhawk you're lucky. It's a pain to have 10 to 20 deer a day within knifing distance and not be able to take one. TWRA says they are trying to get the numbers up, but I (and others) think they are going about it the wrong way. No balance of the sexes.

In PA here, the Game Commision is out for the Does and we are bringing the ratio way down of buck/does. We have tons of deer in PA, and they were over browsing the mountain areas badly. Jack.

That's a pitty you fellas can't take does.  I think ohio (where I do must of my hunting) has a pretty good handle on their deer herd. I live and used to hunt in Mi.where you can shoot two bucks one must have 3pts or better on one side , and a doe. In Ohio you can take two does and a buck (zone 3). This year at the start of bow season I counted 11 bucks the first morning. I think that's more than I've seen in mi in 5 years I wish Michigan would take note

Here's a few of my Ohio bucks The pic on the bottom is this years
