ok ....i have been useing a nice load of 38.4g of IMR4895 with 174g matchkings in my .303 for a few years now. Its a very accurate load, not blazing fast but not slow either, no signes of preasure either. i also am going to be reloading for my .270 and 25/06. I know that this powder is kind of fast burning, but i have seen some pretty fast loads with light bullets. I am planning on useing 90g, or 100g with the 270 ( varmints). and 130's for deer. I also plan on shooting 75g and 117g out of the 26/06. I know that the 4895 gives up a little velocity, but i will be useing less powder per shell, basicly I will be useing 10g-15g less per round than I would with 4350 or 4831, meaning i will get 20% more loads per pound of powder. This will also simplify my reloading since i will be able to reload for 4 guns with one kind of powder, allowing me to rationalize buying in bulk, yes i am cheap. I am baseing this plan on my ability to work up accurate loads. Any comments of ideas on this matter?
