Coy,I have used baited 330s under the ice,but am afraid you would nose snap and educate to many with 220s.Baited snare poles would be a much better alternative.You may also find ,that your under ice expedition ,may be less cost effective . I like to wait till the ice starts pulling away from shore in the spring.I then hit it hard with 330s and castor mounds.By starting right at ice out,I usually have a week to 10 days of very good beaver,with little biting.
A spring line,is also more cost efficient,you can take a very large number of beavers,in a very short time.By waiting,you can also start working out and build yourself up.Because a large beaver line is going to tax your body a lot more then chasing those walking flea busses. :lol: :lol: :lol:
It will also give you time to get a skinner lined up----there ain't no 1 minute beaver peeling---warm or cold. :-) :-) :-)
