.221 Rem out of a Bullberry 16 1/2" barrel
40 Vmax
19.0 gr. of RL-7
set up in carbine configuration
hit him on the third shot

Then last Saturday
508 yds.
coyote
Eastern CO
Contender
6mm 30-30 AI out of a VVCG 21" barrel
58 gr. Vmax
34.0 gr. RL-15
one shot DRT

Several shots on prairie dogs out past 400 yds. with various calibers including .221, .223, .204, 6mm.

300 yards, 10x10" steel plate.
7mm TCU
162gr Hornady BTHP at a "quick" 1950 fps (fireform load)


Range is only 300 yards, so that's as far as I get too shoot!

Don't know exactly but my 26" Encore in 22/250 has done quite a few out to 500yds on prairie dogs.  KN

Encore 50 cal muzzleloader 165 yards, Whitetail deer one shot.
Encore 416 Rigby 135 yard shot, water buffalo one shot.
Encore 22-250  210 yards golfballs.
Encore 30-06  237 yards Whitetail deer one shot.

Lot's of 200 yards shots on paper.  :D

One of the places I shoot prairie dogs at is a full "mile section" 640 acres. it is almost flat with no plants over 12 inches tall and not many of those...it will allow for some long shots. I am sure you have no trouble lining up a 1000 yard shot. I don't have the gear to shoot that far with any consistency...........besides 'checking your target is a long haul even in the truck' and it requires a good spotter. I don't have one of those either...............

Coyote front quartering shot!
Ran 20-30 feet and piled up!

groundhog, 235 yards. contender carbine 21inch barrel in .22 k-hornet.
 i have a new 23inch .204 ruger barrel i hope to shoot farther with.
