Only likes here no dislikes. Well the only thing I don't like is I don't have a Cooper in both 22mag and 17HMR!! :-) Mag-Check

This gun with a Rifle Basix Trigger and 3-9x40mm scope will put 3 rounds of Winchester Supreme 34gr Hollow points under an inch at 100yds.

I dont Know obout the 17hmr but I'v heard alot of good stuff about their accuracy.I own a Marlin 982vs and its very accurate,I wouldnt hesitate at a shot to 175 to 200 yards with my 22 mag.

My 17HMR experience has been hundreds of ground squirrels and one coyote. I think the coyote is about as big as you could go and it was marginal at just under 100 yards. No spinning him around like my 223 or anything. It was more like he thought he was stung by a bee!   It was just under his front shoulder and he started off then dropped. Not what you would call impressive energy knockdown for sure! As far as the Ground Squirrels, I've seen nothing better. The way our place is set up I only shoot them out to around 100-125 yards but it flips 'em pretty good. Again, no pink spray like the 223 but it is so accurate I have shot sparrows off barb wire at 50-75 yards and nothing but a puff of feathers and nothing flys away! No wind though! Turbulence created by a horsefly on the other side of the place will throw it off!  :-D Hard to clean though (see other thread)
