Lets see, your going to use it for Elk and Moose right? The best choice between those 2 huh? Well without a doubt it would be the .280!!! My second choice, and a close one at that, would be the 30-06. It would serve you very well also. I do not think you would have any regrets with either one, the .280 or 30-06. I personally would take either one over the .270 for Moose and Elk. And the option of choosing a .35 Whelen makes the choice more difficult!!....<><.... :grin:
