RCBS master Reloading kit.

Is the RCBS Master kit good enough for centerfire rifles 6.5x55  thru 9.3x62, or do I have to get the master supreme.  Don't know jack about reloading equipment.  I have read 3 reloading books and numerous articles.  I am about ready to get in the game.  Thanks  Buckfever

Check your terminology.

The only press by RCBS that has "Master" in it's name is the AmmoMaster, and it is for the .50 BMG.

Their three presses are the Reloader Special, the Partner and the Rock Chucker Supreme.

Actually the RCBS Supreme Master Reloading Kit has the Supreme press with a 4" opening.

The Master reloading kit has (had) the older Rockchucker press. I'm not sure if they are still for sale.

I have a chnace to buy the older one still in the box.  Is it OK?  Buckfever

With a COL of  3.29" for the 9.3x62 it should be no problem since I reload 30-06 in mine and it has a comparable COL.

You're going to need a pair of calipers and a primer pocket cleaning tool in addition to what's in the kit. You might also want to buy a handheld primer seating tool because no one seemed happy with the primer feed on the original RC.

I got started reloading with the older master reloader kit with the old rockchucker press. It has everything you need to get started.
    There are things that you will want to get to help out like a caliper, primer pocket cleaners, a case tumbler, flashhole deburer etc. There's no end to the things you'll want.
   The kit I feel is the best way to get started. You can get a caliper for 20.00 and up, the assorted little pocket cleaners and deburring tools can be had very cheap from Lyman who also makes a nice affordable tumbler.
   The  rockchucker can also be converted to a progressive five stage press by getting a piggyback for it, but it will only handle up to .223 rem with the piggy back.
    I picked up a piggyback and another rockchucker press with 4 die sets, 4 shell plates and about 600 pieces of assorted brass for 350 bucks on Ebay and now use my old rockchucker for longer rifle cartridges.
    With all the choices out there this kit is the best deal and RCBS backs their products, they will always be there for you.
