40 S&W LOAD QUESTION
« on: March 11, 2003, 10:09:32 AM »
Im looking in one of my manuals and it lists a 150gr jacketed bullet with WST powder. As I understand it the WST is a shotshell powder but what appeals to me is the relatively low pressure it produces. At min load of 980fps its only generating 23,000 ant max 1200fps its producing 28,000. Im thinking that would be a nice low pressure plinker for my glock 40 being its low pressure could eliminate the over pressure case failures. Anyone have any input on this ???? :D

You can use WST From 4.4 grains to 6.4 grains with Winchester WSP Primers, but you would have a borader loading range using  Blue Dot From 8.6 grains to 11.5 grains and Winchester WSP Primers.

And considering the way Winchester drops powders at the flick of a wrist, you would probably be better off using almost any other powder...
