My father has an Omega. It shoots as well as my Encore. In some ways it out dose my Encore. His Omega will shot powerbelts. I have shot three Encore's in 209x50 that will not hold a 4" group with that bullet. And mine is one of them. A real shame. I love how that bullet loads.

The Encore has one trick up its sleve. If I want to shot a bit father I can switch to 209x45 with a 155gr bullet. If I lived in your neck of the woods and wanted to go after some of them hogs I can switch back to the 50cal and through a 300gr bullet at them.

Given the two choices, I would go with the Omega. It is a better investment in my opinion and is a butter muzzleloader in my opinion. But personally I like the Encore the best.  :D

thats a tough one as far as the m/loader goes i have had a knight legend for 14 years or so and it is still a great shooter mine still key holes at 100 yards with 85gr of pyrodex and 240gr hornady..
but i also have the encore in 209x50 that i love it shoots just as good and with the option of it being a mag. and able to shoot harder is a plus, and to be able to change it to any gun i want is another plus..
so in m.o.p. either one is a good choice for just the muzzle loader..

the best of luck in your choice..jeff..
one good shot is worth the wait !!!

I have a Knight Disc Elite and an Omega. I've had the Omega longer and it's proven itself to be a great shooter. As far as reliability and accuracy goes, I think it's a tie, so which ever one feels better to you would be the best choice.

I own two American Knights. I can not get them to pattern with any bullet or powder. I spent around 100 dollars trying to get them to shoot a group and just finally gave up.
I finally got a 6 inch group out of the Hornady Buffalo Bullets in 385 grain. This was from a bench rest at 199 yards. Would I buy another one. Absolutely not...

I was goning to say 6" at 199 yard is not bad for a M.L.
I have a knight lk-93 and have had it for years. it shoots great with knight 300 gr bullets as well as barns 300 gr bullets and 100 grs of pyrodex rs.
my rifle has a scope on it and did even since i i had it.

My question to you moose is this:
if it shoots so well why do you not just put a scope on it ?
