Chubby

I got to go with Tim on this one , The WWB is the gold standard for the 223's .

Is your bi-pod at the sling stud , Most Handi's don't shoot as well with pressure that far out the barrel .

I moved the bi-pod back to 1 in. from the hinge spacer on my 223 bull barrel and it made a world of diffrence .

Most guys do not use the pod's , They just support the rifle under the hinge with a rest or sand bags .

bipod is mounted to the removable attachment for bipods on this new rifle.  it has a seperate spot for the sling.  really diggin this gun!!!  shot more today.  dead on at 50 with it but i will have to shoot more at 100 yards with it.  my buddy always says dead on at 50 dead on at 200.  really want to get it about 1.2 inches at 100 but i am really comfortable shooting at 50.  not sure with his theory, but it may be close---thanks jeff

Chubby,

My .223 Ultra Varmint likes the Win White Box 45 grainers and most of the Black Hills stuff under 55 grains. Mine does not like the heavier offerings but it is a 1-12 twist. Your barrel however is a 1-9 twist as are all fluted and NEW .223 barrels with the extractors. I am betting yours will like something a little heavier than the 45 grain bullets better. Do a search for .223 fluted 1-9 twist and you should find some information on what bullets they seem to like best.

I must just be lucky I guess...I keep hearing how most handis don't like bipods. Well I've got three in the gun cabinet and each and everyone of them has a Shooters Ridge "ROCK SOLID" bipod  on it. All mounted to the good ole sling stud, and all three shoot sub 1" @ 100.
