winter digs
« on: January 08, 2006, 05:56:37 PM »
so it's january, and i've been miserable since november.

we finished building our new house on grass lake in the town of redwood, ny and shortly after thanksgiving my lovely wife decided she didnt want to stay out there all winter because of all the snow and all my work required travel.

for those of you not familiar with northern ny, i live close to the st. lawrence seaway near the "1000 islands" if that helps.

we found a place to lease for the winter in the "snow belt" region of central new york that averages 190+ inches of snow a year instead of 70 inches at the new house............

so here i sit until march, in a fully developed neighborhood with paved roads, street lights, garbage pickup, an unending supply of cars, and no grouse or any place to shoot guns with out being arrested.

i haven't shot a handi or had a decent meal since my last grouse in late october/ early november.

sorry, but i had to vent my spleen.

there''s room for all of God''s fauna and flora, right on my dinner plate!
