Why don't you go check out their website.  They're sure to give you much more accurate MSRP price information than you'll find here.  ,

Dusty...I think he was referring to recoil and quality of those specific Taurus firearms...This question might be better asked in the Taurus specific forum.

:cb2: There's a good reason why they are cheaper than the S&W. Quality. "You get what you pay for" has been around for a long time for a reason. I'd go with the S&W product any day. Plus now they have it in a .41 mag, too, and that would be even better.

"Sageman" Its been my experience that the Taurus metel is softer there fore will wear out quicker than say a S&W or Colt. If a person was not going to shoot a lot they might be ok. If it was me i would go for the Smith & wesson, The trade in value would pay for the difference in the Over the counter price. I sold a few Tauruses and had some a few come back. The old saying, " you get what you pay fore holds true" Good luck :D ...........Joe..........

Unrelated to your .44M: I bought a Taurus Gaucho after seeing them in Hstn at the NRA meeting last year.  They looked great and the price was right.  Held out for a 4 3/4" and got one.
I have had it back to the factory repair in Miami to polish the screw heads that were left unfinished (SS).
It is going back tomorrow again to replace the hammer screw as they nearly polished it away.
But even more important is its failure to fire.  Seven of fifty Magtech cowboy loads and about the same number of my reloads.  No FTF with either of my Rugers.
Guys are right.  You get what you pay for.  I should have bought a Ruger New Vaquerro.
