First time post--sorry if not posting in the right place--have the 22-250 encore--love it, but trigger seems pretty stiff-anyone know how heavy the pull is ? best way to lighten trigger-Thanks

The trigger pull of Encores tend to be a little stiff. If you want it improved, your best bet would be to have it worked over by a gunsmith knowledgable about Encores. The job will probably run something like $50 to $80 depending on where you have it done.

There are spring kits with different pull weights, and you can install them yourself. The directions are online(printable) fairly easy. I have done both of my Encores and my G2.

You can do it without any spring kits. I did it by relieving the stock spring. You don't need to remove the trigger spring just bend it back a couple of times to take out a little tension. I found it on the internet but I just can't find it right now. I'll keep looking.

After I did my trigger (at no cost I might add) I now have a very goo 2-3 pound trigger.

Just got mine back from SSKindustries. Roughly 2.5 lbs with no perceptable creep, just apply slight pressure and bang. Safely done, cocked hammer would not drop no matter how hard I dared to throw my reciever on the bed.
This is twice I have had excellent results.

I`ve done trigger jobs on 2 of my Encores. I used the Mike Belum springs, the lightest he makes. They are suposed to be 1 to 2 lbs. as I recall, but one of mine is abt 4 oz. and the other abt. 10 oz. Mike gives direction on his web page, but don`t take the whole trigger assumbly appart as he does, stop when you get the spring out and put it back together. If you do as he say you take alot of things appart that you don`t need to, and some of them can be tricky to get back in. If your handy with your hands and have some experance working on guns it`s not to bad a deal. If your not handy or don`t have some experance I would recomand you take it to a gunsmith.
