modding a 2240
« on: January 09, 2006, 11:03:09 AM »
i've done some work on my 2240...a lot of work actually, and i've got it shooting pretty well now for hunting purposes.  i was thinking about buying a longer barrel to increase muzzle velocity and i was wondering what y'all recommend.  i'm currently using a 14.6" in .22 cal.  also would a muzzle brake help accuracy/velocity or are they just for looks on an airgun?

btw, i got fussed at about posting this on the crosman airgun forum because my gun now fires WELL in excess of their legal muzzle energy limits (i completely understand their concern).  since i live here in the states, i was hoping y'all could discuss it a bit more freely.
When the whole world is crashing down around me, atleast I'll have my SKS.

This wasn't posted on the Crosman forum.  Theres no ban on discussing power mods on the real Crosman forum, and no one there would tell you otherwise. You were posting on the Canadian Airgun forum http://www.airgunforum.ca/forum/index.php, and in Canada limits ARE enforced.
Try going here: http://www.network54.com/Hide/Forum/275684 and you'll get all the information you need and more.
