Manufacture dates of Handis

I did a search for the thread on determining the date of manufacture of Handis by the serial number prefix but I don't seem to be able to find it.
I have one with an "NP" prefix.When was it manufactured?
It would be really helpful if this inforrmation was stickied at the top since this comes up kinda often.

hey stan if i read the sticky right it is 2000,all you need to look up is the p which is 2000 n means its an nef
