The Second Amendment was not added to the Constitution to protect hunters' and sport shooters' rights, it is there so the people can protect themselves from an out-of-control government.
San Francisco is installing cameras in neighborhoods where crime is high. We don't need Big Brother spying on us, we need good neighbors.
The Fourth Amendment guarantees the security of our houses, papers and persons from unlawful search and seizure. The Patriot Act circumvents this protection.
As long as The Patriot Act stands as law, we live under threat of tyranny. This legislation was passed in haste after the attacks of 9/11. Fortunately, some of our legislators now see this for what it is and are attempting to change many of the bad parts of this law.
The First Amendment guarantees the right to free exercise of religion, it does not guarantee the right to be free from exposure to religion.
We are fighting two wars -- one worldwide against terrorism, the other here at home against declining freedoms. Thomas Jefferson once said: "Where the people fear government, there is tyranny. Where government fears the people, there is liberty."
Do not be fooled into trading freedom for safety. Safety without freedom is but a cage.

Let's not trade our freedom for the "safety" of a government cage.
Visit your local animal shelter. Animals in government cages get put out of their misery
every day, just so the the government doesn't have to take care of them.
