Butlerford: I have a bit experience with the Winchester Ranger ammo in 45 at an indoor range. It was accurate and easy to shoot. Another shooter was using a Beretta 9 with the 9mm Rwnger ammo and his results were the same - accurate and easy to shoot.
However, a Nov/05 Gun Tests Magazine article basically provided that this ammo should be used when shooting in enclosed ranges to minimize lead pollution in the air and to reduce the possibility of a ricochet. They specifically state not to use this ammo for personal defense as it will overpenetrate and create a hazard for innocent bystanders. Also, the stuff is expensive. HTH. Mikey.
