I don't know if it is good or not, but 3 1/2" groups at 100 yards from the bench works for me...

Hey Spencer,
The best I got shooting a 270 gr. GDSP was 2 & 1/4" at 100.  I was using a pull down powder (WC820), using 22grs.  It gives me some good balistics and performance.  

Got two deer last year at the 65 yard mark.  They were standing together and I shot the first and he went down and the doe stayed there and I shot her and she ran for about 40 yards.  

I love this gun for hunting and went nuts not having it this year.  The base broke and had it at the smiths for work.  I will have it next year for deer season though.   :wink:

I got a doe with this gun in 2002.  In 2003, I got a nice buck with my Encore pistol in 7-08.  For the last two years, I have gotten three deer, and all have been with the bow.  I would really like to get another with the handgun, but I feel fortunate to be getting deer with the bow.

Hey S.B.
I like red dots.  I have one in particular that is mounted on my .22 Browning Buckmark.  I have a Millet and it is very reliable and accurate.  

Have you done any hunting with that hand cannon?    :wink:

Here's my 629 Classic.  8 3/8th's inch barrel, topped with a Leupold 2x EER, shooting 250 Winchester Partition Golds.  Before adding the Leupold, I had a Tasco Pro-Point on it.  I was lucky enough to be able to take my first two deer with it this season!  :grin:

I have a 44 mod 29 from the 70's, not tapped.
Is there a scope mount available that does not require tapping?
weaver style with screw slot for Holo sight.
The Holo sight works great for deer in the woods.
