My gun safe is filled with .30 caliber + firearms but I am developing an interest in something smaller... I have some prime opportunities for coyote hunting and would also envision using it on whitetail and maybe boar. In doing some initial looking around the .257 Weatherby is intriguing me and I am curious if anyone has any comments on their experience with the cartridge... some ideas on rifle selection. Weatherby Mark V? Sako M75? Winchester M70? Something else? I recognize the ammo is expensive and I'm willing to live with that, but are there many options available with factory ammo? What weight bullets are most effective? Is the recoil such that I could buy this for my wife... and abscond with it whenever I wanted ;-)
Any advice / comments will be appreciated. Thanks. -Jimi
