Have a 7mmRUM that I have been shootong the 150 scirroco in. Now have a 300RUM that I willl shoot the 150and 180 scirroco in depending on what I'm after.
Would like to load some 120 Barnes trip/shocks for the 7mm RUM for some long distance whitetail.
Does anyone have a load of this nature and about what velocity will I be looking at. Also are there any pros and cons in tring to do this. What will my effective range be for southern whitetail(<200lbs.).
What is the minimum speed for this bullet to open up correctly, and at what distance will this happen with a load like this.
