The Green Hornet Strikes Again
« on: January 12, 2006, 05:10:59 PM »

It worked, I can post pics. Sniped this one at about 150 yards. Made the mistake of crossing my path while coming back from the range. Couldn't pass him up. Where I come from that is just a foul ball and needs to be dealt with asap. And dat's all she wrote.

Congratulations 6-24x42!

Does that make 2 reds in the last week or so? Looks like a good one. What kind of pill did you give him, 223?

Fine looking Red there 6-24.

I hope to put a similar hurt to a Red near my friends place in a few weeks. If not, maybe I should come up there and you can show me how it's done.

Mitchell,

Since you're in the mood to travel, might as well make it a day and swing by here for some Crawford and Wyandot county coyotes too.

amos, when i get back we'll have to hook up . it will be spring time so we may have to wax a few ground hogs instead but we'll still get together.

my gift to myself for going in is a custom 6mm br groundhog killer i'll have to let you try it out.

The 223 performed nicely. I think I am going to get the hide tanned but my taxadermist's wife is having medical problems so it is kind of on hold. As far as yotes go we have them around here but they are few and far between. just like the foxes, you hardly ever see them in the day. I about wet myself not only seeing one but then knowing how the rifle was shooting. :)

6-24X42:  That's a nice fox, and a nice rig you're shooting.  My kind of scope.   Get a varmit call you might be surprised how many cayotes and foxes that are there.  But above all have fun.

Nice fox and since you have 2 you could make a fine quiver for a longbow and arrows. Then send it to me...please.

congrats on the fox. Since you're short on coyotes up there I'll trade you one for a 12 pack of Leinie's Amber Light. We're short on the Leinie's here

hvacman, no thanks on any coyote but being a bartender at two seperate establishments, I'm sure the beer could be gotten. In fact I just had an interview at Leinenkugel's. I am a good friend of the owner Jake Leinenkugel. His son and my brother are stationed at 29 palms together.

Hmmm, how can an 18yr old work as a bartender??? I know a young man can die serving his country, but not drink legally until he's 21...... :?

Quick man, no worries. In the great state of Wisconsin, where we walk on water 9 months out of the year. It is legal to serve alcohol and tobacco at the ripe old age of 18. I never said I drink it, I just serve it. I have all of my liscenses and am authorized. Oh and by the way,

Hmmm, I think that's a good law and should be nation wide!!! I tended bar in an officer's club when I was in Vietnam at the age of 20, but over there anyone could drink!! I turned 21 a few months after I got over there, so drinking wasn't a big deal, but nickel beer and 50 cent hard drinks sure were easy on the pocket!!.

Good luck in the new job and thanks!!
