A few months ago I picked up a USED Handi with a youth stock. I intended to replace the stock with an adult size. Upon trying to remove the stock, I found out the stock bolt had been cross-threaded and seemed to be overtightened. When I did finally get it off, the rear of the receiver had been forced into the stock causing the laminate to split. The stock bolt was stripped and the threads on the mount on the reciever damaged.
I contacted NEF and explained my dilemma and asked if they would be willing to make the repairs and if I could replace the damaged stock. I was given permission to send it in, although there were no promise to make the repairs. I forwarded the items along with a detailed letter of the repairs I desired and a request to contact me for the cost of the parts and repairs.
Approximately, two weeks later I recieved the repaired reciever complete with a new adult size laminated stock, stock bolt, recoil pad and with an invoice that indicated "NO CHARGE".
It can't get any better than that.
