New from Buffalo Bore.........
300gr. Speer Uni Core @ 2350 fps (3678 ft. lbs.)
(Big Game up to 500 lbs. - Expander Load)
That velocity is unbelievable!! And safe for the Handi too.

I agree...but I do hope you have a great recoil pad on it when you touch it off.. I have added a Limbsaver to mine and filled the butt stock with #6 shot..it makes it a-lot more pleasent to shoot for me. I've found that this (bullet) will shoot almost as good as my 300 grain Nosler load at 2400fps.I haven't tried any of the factory offerings with this bullet except the Federals and look forward to getting some of these to try out. Buffalo Bore ammo has always been known for it's extreamly low shot to shot deviation...and this should be a great factory offering and fairly easy to duplicate for the handloader :agree:

Yup!! I've shot the 300gr Nosler Partition at well over 2400fps in my Handi and in a BC, if you can take it, the rifle will!!! I have some of the 300gr Speer UCHP, haven't shot em yet, but will this spring. I want something that doesn't cost $35 a box, but is well built, from what I've read at MO on em, they are excellent bullets went pushed fast, unlike other 300gr bullets like the lightly constructed Hornady and Rems. From my limited reloading using H4198, I would recommend trying it or RL7, the MO boys love the RL7 in their 45-70s.

I had a mercury recoil reducer in the stock but for some reason it made my groups larger. I am going to get a grind to fit Limbsaver pad soon. I currently use R7 but am considering H4198 for the greater velocity. Shooting the stouter loads is fun...........just not from the bench!!
