My gun safe contains only .30 caliber+ rifles, but I find myself with an opportunity to hunt an 8,000 acre ranch that is full of coyotes, pigs, and whitetail... and have become interested in a smaller caliber, primarily for the coyotes... and am intrigued by the .257 Weatherby.
Do any of you have experience with this caliber, good or bad? I know the ammunition is steep and I don't really care about that... but what bullets/loads have you had success with? Any ideas on rifles? I'm thinking Weatherby MkV, of course, but any other suggestions/experience?
